"Doomsday" was recorded for the 2nd album, "Eternal Candlelight", but didn't make the final track listing because it was felt that it was a bit too dark and depressing as well as being lyrically similar to "Atomic Rain". The working title of the song was "Drone Song" due to the use of Prime8's "Drone Guitar" which was also used on "Wasted". It has 5 strings, all tuned to A (3 octaves), the 2 "Bass" strings are played open while the melody is played on the 3 higher strings.
lyrics
I can see the light inside,
It's been hidden by the sky,
Don't look too deep into your brain,
You'll slowly find you've gone insane,
The sky is red,
My eyes are red too,
But I can see,
I've been looking right through,
Stuck inside,
Someone else's nightmare,
Looking out,
But no-one else cares,
First you pollute the sky,
Then you wonder why,
The sky is glowing red,
And all you know will soon be dead,
Can't escape,
Can't get away,
Impending doom,
Is here to stay,
There's no way out,
Because it's too late,
Damage is done,
Now this is our fate,
You can never go outside,
You will be burned up by the sky,
You should have listened when you had the chance,
Now it's too late and it's your last dance,
GUITAR SOLO.
First you pollute the sky,
Then you wonder why,
The sky is glowing green,
And everyone is mean,
Is this the end,
Is this doomsday,
Or is this a hoax,
Is this a play,
Stuck inside,
Someone else's nightmare,
Looking out,
But no-one else cares.
