Atomic Rain (Uncut)

from The "Forgotten Gravity" EP. by The Quagaars

/

about

"Atomic Rain" also comes from "Dodge City Tombstone", however the final take was too long to include on the album so a section of the instrumental section was edited out. This is the uncut, unedited version. The instrumental section was originally an instrumental song called "The Baboon Bop" which evolved from a jam session with Checkers on Saxophone.

lyrics

Verse 1:
I can see the world is fading away,
It's getting weaker every day,
Nuclear wind and Atomic Rain,
Is this the future the world's been stained,
Oh Yeah,

Chorus:
And in the morning of the earth,
Should we be morning for the earth,
And in the morning of the earth,
Things have been going bad to worse,

Verse 2:
As the forests disappear and die,
You can hear the animals cry,
Pouring toxic waste into the sea,
No race can kill like humanity,
No they can't now,

Chorus.

Bridge:
And the politicians don't give a shit,
Even though we know that they're full of it,
All they seem to want is war,
And they don't give a fuck what they're fighting for,
No the don't give a fuck what they're fighting for,

Chorus.

Instrumental Section.
